EASY TREAD
Stationary tire analysis
The purpose of EASY TREAD is to make a significant contribution to general road safety, automate service processes and stimulate tire and service business in car dealerships. The system provides data on minimum tread depth as soon as a service customer enters the dealership and delivers convincing condition illustrations for further customer decisions and instructions for action.
Integration with existing digital infrastructure and display devices is possible. No external PC is required for operation. Profile depths, images, etc. can be displayed directly on smart TVs, tablets or in any browser. Various interfaces such as a REST API allow querying from or automatic transfer to external servers.
EASY TREAD is a compact, modular measuring system for stationary and mobile passenger car tire tread depth measurement at crossover for underfloor and overfloor installations in car dealerships and workshops. The system was developed for the German market leader for workshop equipment, BEISSBARTH GmbH. Other typical users include fleet operators, logistics centers, TÜV organizations, vehicle manufacturers, tire manufacturers and tire dealers.
EASY TREAD works reliably without laser technology, its design and arrangement of system components offers optimal installation dimensions, even under spatially unfavorable conditions.
Tread depth and tread condition of all 4 tires are measured in a matter of seconds at a traversing speed of up to 8km/h without stopping the vehicle. Both sides of the vehicle can be driven over. The measurement is carried out over 18 measuring lines of 1.8mm width each on a maximum latsch of 600 x 33 (In comparison: laser-based measurements only use a single measuring line of approx. 1.5mm width). This enables a previously unknown measurement precision of +/-0.05mm on a tire test specimen.
High-resolution measurement results of 750,000 2D/3D pixels guarantee a doubtless interpretation of the measurement result in the immediately available evaluation. The technology is extremely robust, even if the viewing aperture is 50% covered with dirt, the tread depth is reliably measured according to the specifications.
